Blonde. Straw yellow color, compact and persistent white foam. Malty and spicy notes. Hints of banana. Full, round taste. Dry finish with persistent spicy notes. Born in 1989 thanks to a tax inspector. Legend has it that, tasting the latest product from the Huyghe brewery, he immediately declared: "If I keep drinking this, I'll start to hallucinate!". Jean De Laet suddenly had an idea, arranged for it to be immediately bottled in ceramic Cologne bottles, and commissioned a student to design the label in exchange for two cases of beer. Today, the label still tells this story, universally recognized as an allegory of alcoholic hallucination: pink elephants, dragons, crocodiles, and birds. Over time, the pink elephant has taken over and become a symbol universally associated with Delirium Tremens.
