American Wild Ale, Wild Ale with Raspberries

Wild ale in the Berliner Weisse style aged for 6 months in French oak foudres, then refermented for an additional 4 months on approximately 4,500 kg of fresh, locally grown raspberries from the Santa Maria Valley. The nose reveals aromas of fresh raspberry, flowers, and candy, with a slight lactic acidity. The taste is sweet and floral, with notes of pink lemonade and raspberry jam, followed by a clean, lactic acidity. The wheat base and raspberry seeds add a slight hint of astringency in the finish.
